Stephen LeggProfessor Stephen Legg, New Zealand.

You are invited to attend a special practicum workshop on ‘Ergonomics for schools in the Nordic countries’.

As part of our innovative conference programme, Professor Stephen Legg from New Zealand (co-editor of the recent special issue of the Ergonomics journal on ‘Ergonomics in Schools (Volume 50, Number10, October 2007)) will be running a special practicum workshop designed to find out how  ergonomics could best be integrated as a subject in the school curricula of each of the Nordic countries.

He would like ‘Nords’ from each country to attend to help develop recommendations on the best ways to get ergonomics incorporated into school curricula, so that young Nords can help the growth and significance of ergonomics for the future Nordic society.

(Some of you may remember Stephen’s enjoyable keynote and practical sessions on Ethics in Ergonomics at the NES 2004 conference!).

The workshop will also include an update of IEA ‘Ergonomics for Children’ initiatives by Professor Karen Jacobs.

There is no need to register. Just come along and have your say.
